Kawasaki engine blowing blue smoke

Hey Guys,
I have an exmark metro 21 in mower about 6 years old. About 2 weeks ago I started it and it ran rough for a while. Now every time I start it hot or cold it blows out blue smoke and then clear up after a few seconds. There is still that harsh smell of burnt oil the whole time I use the mower. Oil is being burnt at an unusually high rate. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
Here are the mower and engine specs.

Exmark Metro 21 Kawasaki 6.5hp
Model no. M216KASPC
Serial# 515394

Engine
Code FJ180V-CS09-R
E/No FJ180VB95055

The rings/cylinder are worn out, A rebuild/engine replacement is in order.

Do a leakdown test. If you don't have a tester use a regular compression gauge. Test first on a cold engine. Then add a squirt of oil in the plug hole, pull over a couple times and then test again. The oil gives a temporary seal. If its higher than the first test you have proof of ring/piston wear out. Any chance you over filled it? Does it sit at an angle on the trailer?

No chance of overfilling it and it was level. When I checked the oil there was none to be found.
And just for reference how much is a new engine?

I used a gauge to check compression. It is showing 100lbs cold and 105lbs hot. Additionally, the spark plug was coated with oil and so was the top of the piston. So does this truly mean a blown engine?

Worn out at least. Rings and hone job might extend the life for a couple more years.
