hydro seal kit came..got a question
bought a used GD Chariot w/1200 hours. My one hydro pump leaked fluid steadly when you put oil in resevoir. I found out the seal below the v-pully was bad and that shaft bearing is bad. Rather than rebuild at this time I bought a used hydro pump off net. Has no bearing play or noticable wear. I am going to put new seals in it tomorrow before installing. But..my other side pump still has all the hoses hooked up and that side is bone dry so no leaks. Also- I got no metal shavings out of the resevoir tank at all. can I just re-seal and install this pump and flush out the wheel motor on side of replaced pump and leave other side alone? Had I got metal shavings I wouldn't even ask..but none in tank? Thanks- Gene

With no indications of metal bits in the oil, you should be OK. Obviously you wanna change the filter before ya fire it up. And do a thorough job of bleeding the air, and ya should be good to go.
The Hydro Gear site has got manuals you can download for free.

thanks..new question..
Thanks bigFish on the tip on manual..I'll do that. I decided to start on the project tonight..Found that the Pump I got used ..although no play has slight catch when rollong bearing. It is/was a common bearing (6202) so I'll get a new bearing at bearing house-But-when pulling top off the lifters and springs came out of thier holes so I cant put them in the same holes they were? bores and lifters look spotless but any lifter in any hole going to be a problem?

Don't sweat it...just make sure the springs and washers go back in the right order.
