105 today with 20 - 30mph winds. No rain in 2 months. Ground is dry and everything is toast. Terrible weather year.

I've had 4/10ths of an inch of rain here since the first week of April until tonight. We got a little over a half inch and it was a slow soaker. I'm almost "giggly". I've mowed my lawn 4 times this year. I may have to mow again next week if the 104 degree high we're supposed to have Saturday doesn't completely dry it up.My section of the state is in the highest degree of drought set by the drought monitor, "excessive". I guess "extreme" wasn't high enough. There's treetops and rocks in my bass pond that I didn't have a clue were in there until this year....We seem to have a plague of grasshoppers everywhere too. Not sure what's up with that???

My mistake...the term is not "excessive", the term is "exceptional" drought.

Oh yea, n-green, I'll be sure to let you know when the next 6 plagues have arrived.
