what truck should i get?

i am currently in the market for a new(used) truck. i have narrowed it down to 2 trucks. one being a 1999 f550 and the other one a 2002 f350.

1999 ford f550:
-single cab
-2wd
-no A/C
-7.3L
-6 speed manual
-current color is yellow
-bad tires
-trans needs rebuilt

or

2002 ford f350:
-crew cab
-gas
-2wd
-a/c
-does not have tow hitch
-white in color
-good tires

the truck will be pulling a 24 foot enclosed. i do NOT need it to plow snow. they are about 20 mins away from each other, and the same price. we do alot of commercial accounts that require 5-6 crew members. please give me your opinion.

That 7.3 is a pulling machine.
But you need the crew cab to carry your 5 men.
Your in a tuff spot with the decision,!
Good luck with it.

Is the F350 a 5.4 or 6.8? If it's a 5.4 its gonna be a dog. Either way the gasser is gonna suck the gasoline down like crazy. I don't know what kind of price range you are shopping in, but I think if you're willing to travel a bit you could try to find a crew cab f350 or 450 2wd diesel somewhere in your price range.

Do you ever haul stuff in the beds? is the 350 a dump? If not, the 550 might fit your needs better if it has the dump bed.

Next, if the 350 is the V10 then that might be the way to go since you need to haul so many people. It will stop you from having to send out two trucks insteadof just the one. If the 350 has the 5.4, I would not get it. it will be way too much for that truck to tow the 24' trailer loaded up along with 5 guys. Trust me I have a 5.4,and also two 7.3s. The 7.3 is exponentially better at towing and fuel economy. With that trailer and the 5.4 you could expect 5mpgs. If I were you I would keep looking for a diesel crew cab.. Neither of those trucks fit your needs perfectly
