Walk behind advice - Advertising too

Hi all, i am licensed and insured and finally got my doorhangers. I have been passing them out and was wondering what other ways this late in the season might be a cheap successful way to get some accounts.

Equipment wise i am working with a 6x14 trailer
Ariens 21"
Toro Commercial 21" (no side discharge so that sucks, only bagging)
Robin 4stroke trimmer
Troybuilt backpack blower (it works so im not complaining)

I have a budget (Credit card) of 2000 to spend on a walk behind. I want to pull a sulky with it and it needs to be a 42" and up. I was thinking 36" but it just isnt much bigger than a 21"

I have Toro, Scag close by and like the toro line.
the toro 1638HXL i can get for 1900 but i think its a homeowner model but im not sure. Anyway what would you spend your 2000 on?

I would buy a used 42-48" walk behind with about 1300-1500 of it out of the classified news, use about 250.00 on drumming up some more business and keep the rest. Why spend extra money on a credit card if you don't need to.

Get you a good used scag or exmark, buy a used sulky, rework the bushings if necessary and go to work. Take small steps, the rest will come. If you are a hard worker and do good buisness, it will all come together. Good luck..

Good business and quality work are easy to do...getting the work and figuring out the logistics of what to buy is that hard part haha

All I would say is by good used equipment and save whatever limit you have for emergencies, if you need it. I like newspaper ads for cheap advertising.
