I was thinking of maybe oats or an annual rye, something cheap. Then in spring round-up the grass and weeds. Aerate(I have a nice one on my garden tractor) overseed, roll,water(if needed).

What do you think? That should give me time too to see what type of grass and flowers I'd like also.

I'm thinking ill have it completed by next week the 18th. 3-5 days for germination. That gives a pretty good 2 months of growth.

You should have enough cover by the time fall rolls around if we get some heavy rains like some falls. It should also help if we get any snow this winter from washing as bad next spring
