Its okay. Audits are very educational for guys that think they know what is enough proof for the IRS. Soon you will need to keep video logs of all transactions on your phones saved to the sd card.

This is a screen shot from a portion of one of my gas reports. You'll make note of the use of the fuel (mowers or truck), the date, the Entry Method (at the pump) and some other data. There is also data like the gas type, price and totals, that are not visible in this shot.

This is the kind of report that the IRS would accept as proof of fuel purchases.

it's not that. it's the waiting in line behind people buying beer, cigarettes, or whatever. they always seem to take forever.

I hate having to go inside the store since I seem to routinely get stuck behind someone that can't make up their mind which scratch-offs to buy

Laughing out loud. A thread about receipts printed at the pump turns into an aunty iris debacle. Just sad LOL.

Anyways, you guys should move to where it's 40 below often. Then see how much you like printed receipts at the pump. Or for that matter how slow the pumps pump your gas at anywhere below freezing. Our gas stations up here are all a joke.

What really chafes my rear end is we have a new player in town for gas stations. They are called holiday stores. Recently since the old stations(super americas) were sold to a holiday franchisee they have installed new pumps. Each individual pump has 30 buttons to press on the keypad. The letters and numbers and word phrases on them are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them. Every time you pull up for gas no matter what type of credit/cash you are going to use, it takes 5 steps/button combinations to even get the pump to work. Each individual pump has a 10 inch lcd screen on EACH SIDE of the pump. Each screen is marketing and advertising to you the entire time. If it isn't advertising to you, it is spitting out news. I have yet to see a news story that isn't depressing. Every news story it shows is about death, taxes, military, politics. On top of that, each screen must have what I assume is a 300 watt loudspeaker attached to it. It will make you go deaf in a matter of about 15 seconds. First time I visited a holiday with these new pumps, every screen and loudspeaker were malfunctioning in unison. Sounded like I was at an AC/DC concert smashed up against one of their cabinet concert speakers. Was pure insanity. When I asked the general manager why their prices on everything in the store went up overnight 30% his reply was "holiday has to pay for all the new technology in each pump. Laughing my a$$ off.

As to having to get a receipt from the inside if it happens, if there happens to be a degenerate gambler scratching cardboard crack or buying lotto tickets, I don't hesitate to open my mouth, and loudly, to get them the hell out of my as well as others way. You have no right to impede my business for your pleasure at a gas station. Due unto others. Disrespecting me or others waiting for your lack of self control will get you a hell-of-an ear full.
