Resto rob thanks for the help. I actually have a portable oscilloscope for checking secondary ignition but it being a very common engine I thought maybe somone else had seen the same problem.

For nut slapper I may not know what is wrong with my mower but I do know youy are an idiot.

Have a great day.

There's a chance someone may have, But since there's a few things that can cause this type issue doesn't mean someone else's fix would solve yours.

A in-line spark tester is cheap enough to keep handy for issues such as this, It's one of the most used tools in my box.....

Ditto RestroRob...hope you liked the pics...

AWJ...not sure why you copped an attitude...just trying to help..as I have done over 1000 times on this forum..
I took time out of my busy weekend to give you some good technical advice...which if you had taken..you would know how to fix your mower today.
I never have called anyone names on this site...I don't need to...I can give and take with the best...OEM's..engineers...techs..and all the rest of them...Their own comments always put things in the proper perspective...you can't have it both ways....
Just remember...if you want to play mud football...you're gonna get a little dirty.

It's fixed. Odd problem.

Actually piston slapper your advice is as generic, wikeapedia sourced as it comes. I have been a mechanic( Auto) for 20 plus years with extensive experience in emisions, driveability, electronics etc. I have built 100's of High performance engines and some making 1500 hp and dynoed close too 300 engines. I am sorry if I could see through your sharade! You talked condenceding to me almost immediatly. Guys like you think your helping, but are you really? I mean seriously the problem is either spark or fuel so you had a 50/50 shot right?

Sorry to crash you guys party. Continue with regularly scheduled programming.
