Pine Barking Techniques

I need to know how you plant a single tree or so and then put bark around it. Do you put down felt? Or what do you do to kinda keep the weeds out better. Thanks for your help! <p>Chris Tarlton

Chris,I dont use a lot of felt but I use pine bark alot and I just put about 3&quot; to 4&quot;<br>inches of it down and prevents weeds pretty good,but if you spray them before they get to bad then it wont be a problem,,cypress mulch is better for weed control because its smaller size pieces alow it to somewhat fuse together,,just my thoughts!!<p>Tim
