Yup, on the edger. I took mine off. I can now go in either direction easily. When it had the wheel on it I could encounter difficulty when walking on the grass side.

It can with the right adapter we just ordered an Oregon head with the stihl adapters 2 weeks back and installed it on a brand new stihl rx 100 to replace the 6 month old one that my idiot employee forgot to pin the week before.

Leave the white wheel on, remove the rear wheel with the height adjustment.

I agree with you. My guys use about 2 heads per trimmer per year, maybe even more. The Speed feeds are waaaayyyy better!

To get back to the OP's original question, do some of you put a bolt/screw in the center of the head so that when you tap it on the ground it doesn't wear like plastic does?
