Exmark Lazer Z S-series and Scag Tiger Cat

Looking just at specs and prices on the 48" decks, it seems these are the two selling against each each other. I bought my eXmark WB in 08, can someone walk me through the mess of marketing eXmark did with their ZTRs?

More importantly the Tiger Cat compared to the Lazer S-Series it seems they are pretty similar in size and specs except:

Bigger drive tires on Scag
better front tires (semi-pneumatic) on the eXmark
I prefer the "new" single tank of the Lazer
I like the seat on the eXmark better, but the Scag dealer was more recptive to upgrading me to a SS than the eXmark guy was

and the biggie - "unitized" hydros on the eXmark.

I like eXmark and the S when compared to the Tiger Cat, but this last part scares me. Possibly enough to give Scag and their highly proven (old lol) design.

How has the unitized hydros been doing? I was told they have been out since 2009.

Why does eXmark have THREE gas Lazers now (and TWO RESIDENTIAL models) are they all technically the Next Lazer with the same frame and just different buildouts?

I love my new lazer S 48". Scags are nice too. I am upgrading to the air seat soon. The Exmark dealer is within a couple miles of my house and they are good to me.

Which seat are you getting, the seat that comes on the DS? Do you have to buy it outright or are they gonna take yours in some trade?

I probably over stated the eXmark dealers reluctance to swap seats, the Scag dealer had both models sitting there so it would be nothing for him.

Also since you have one of the the exact models I am looking at, what did you pay for yours? I think my dealer has them at $8500. Can't remember exactly.
