Shindawia Parts

Just wanted to know where everyone buys their Shindawia parts. I'm needing a new set of straps and the throttle lever (tube mount) clamps for a backpack I just bought. The cheapest straps I found where on ebay for 40 bucks!!! I don't mind paying that price but would rather buy em cheaper.
Paid 200.00 for a EB802RT. Good deal?

The set of straps should cost about $32-$34.00 at a local Shindaiwa dealer. With Ebay you've got to compare prices especially when adding shipping prices to your total cost.

Try googling the part number only to get an idea of current prices from various sources. Just go down the results list till you find some prices and start from there. Great way to determine if that Ebay price is really a deal or not.

Another thing is since Echo & Shindaiwa merged you may have an old Shinny number along with a new issue Echo number to cross reference to make matters more complicated.

Kinda why I strip off the straps on the units at the dealer that are in the scrap pile. Lot of good stuff thrown away.

At least you're getting some foam padding and stuff. Solo backpack sprayer straps clips are insanely priced. It's just a freakin plastic clip. $4.50 each. They get them made in China (or America) for about 2 cents each. And yes, that's how much they cost.
