As bigmower1 said in a previous post, Its hard to diagnose if it isn't in front of you.

Id say a ground somewhere...?!?! Or a short or switch....lol
Dealer called yesterday (dropped it off end of day Saturday).
It was a relay.

Any takers on what they charged? (I understand they are in business to make money, but that doesn't cancel out the discussion of their charges).

It is either a ground, the one on the engine to the frame or a bad EFI control box, Probably the EFI control box. Maybe a relay. The dealer will use a diagnosis program, they will hook it up to the harness that is built for this and imediately figure it out. It is not really all the difficult and you will have the mower back pretty fast.

$80-$100 ??? they would have went through the normal checklist first, grounds, 12 volts here there etc.

Yeah, relays can work intermittently just like a switch and hard to pinpoint sometimes.

You can do a bench test on relays to see if they are working right.

A relay, good simple and inexpensive to fix. They will go sometimes.
