Okay, now I'm interested in the "tuna can to ring" concept--but I don't like tuna, would any other can work okay, or does it need the smell of tuna to work correctly???????? Also, I'm guessing this doesn't work on Stihl's since all parts have to be bought from a dealer!!!!

Ahhh...the good ole days...
Any can will work....the key is not to shrink it too much when submersing it in the liquid nitrogen/budweiser mix...custom fitting the box staples into piston rings is a little more involved.....
Dutch can give you the specifics....

Slapper, if I could have discovered a procedure for installing a tuna can piston in this thing I'd have given it a shot--believe me. I think I wore out 6 of 'em from 1947 to 1954. The "engine" ran at idle a lot.

That particular model would have used the steel Bud can and as I remember...it wasn't an exact science...it took a whole lot of them to get it right....
