Does your daughter still work with you? Does she enjoy the industry? How old is she now?

This is my 10th summer mowing.....I started when my oldest was a baby as a side job to pay DayCare....It kinda chokes me up now seeing him (my 10yr old) on a mower and me on the other.....He started running one last season little by little and this year I sure did miss him when school started back...lol....

I also have an 8yr old that helps picking up sticks and what not.....mostly supervising....lol...

I enjoyed reading though your post all the way back from 08...

I wouldnt take anything for the summers weve spent together......And its taught them SOOO much more than just time with DAD

Cedar, My Daughter turns 16 this year. She is very busy with school. She takes the honors classes and carried a 4.5 GPA last year. She has only been able to help me a few times this summer due to softball. My little boy is now ten so he has begun helping out a little more.

DaughtryLC, It has been a great thing working with the kids. It's hard to believe they are now 10 and 16. My hope is when my daughter goes to college in a few years she will return to work with me in the summer. Good luck with your adventures.

Darn of all the times to have the Scag go down. Scag developed a huge shudder when the PTO was engaged. The weldmount has numerous cracks in it and will need replaced. I hate having a large repair bill this late in the season. I also hate being short a unit. Otherwise all is well.
