Fuel consumption of a 24HP Kaw on a JD 915B

Guys,

Looking at buying this mower for our church with the non prof discount, right around $6,600 OTD. I have a question about fuel consumption for the 23.9 HP Kaw on this 915B with 54" deck. Will we be around 1 gal/hr wide open? Or more?
Can't find the spec anywhere.

Thx!

***Correction the 915B does not run a Kaw but a 23.9 HP Kohler Command Pro. My bad.***
1.4 gal/hr still pretty close?

I see you caught that about the HP already. The easy way to know if it is a Kohler or Kawi is that the Kawi's are either full numbers or half for HP increments, while the newer ratings coming online for Kohler are all over the place in decimal points.

Yes, you'll still be in the 1.4 range if you have the 54" or 60" deck. It will vary up or down depending on the thickness of the grass and terrain etc, but that will be fairly close to your average.

1.4 is still pretty good for that mower.

i have the 26hp kawi with 54" deck z920a.

i think it's rated at 23.5hp now.

i use about 1.2 gph average.

it helps if you use G6 blades. they put less drag on the engine especially in thicker/wetter stuff.
