Thank you for the info.
About 5 years ago I retired an old Snapper mower...it had the 4hp engine and steel wheels originally...the mower was over 20 years old when I junked it. I had rebuilt the original engine about 3 times and finally replaced the engine with a WalMart push mower engine. They hold up well.

Do you feel your new one is built equally as well? I understand their construction has changed in the mean time, from aluminum to steel decks at some point? I would actually think steel would last longer if anything.

The decks are a bit thinner and a stamped Snapper logo has been replaced with a sticker instead. Overall the build quality is pretty good. For the cost of a snapper vs a toro com you can buy two snappers to one toro.
