I have a 36" Exmark. The deck needs scraping often (daily) with the wet grasses. So your not the only one. I read about others cutting all week in lush wet spring conditions and not having to clean out the deck then posting the pics to show the little build up. Mostley Gravely and JD. The dealer told me to use low lift blades. That did help with deck build up quite a bit , BUT the cut quality was not there. The clippings were much more noticeable and did not disperse nearly as well. Good idea on plastic putty knife, I will be switching over.
