Walker finance
I'm from Mass, local dealer, 0% financing (Sheffield finance) for Walkers. I have (3) always need a back up. Anyone else take advantage of this. I usually buy a new Walker every 3-4 years, I couldn't pass this one up

I run Scags but my dealer also sells Walkers. I saw a sign on a mower that said 0% interest for 12 months. If you can handle the payments, it's not a bad deal.

im sorry, but I could NEVER justify buying a new walker..... I have run 3 different brands of mowers on St. Augustine and all of them have left a great cut. Unless I had a demand and people were willing to pay a nice premium, I wouldn't use a walker. There is no need for the bagger either as side discharging or mulching works just fine on St. Augustine. |

First off, I think walkers are too overpriced. With that said, scheffield is horrible with customer service, and really screwed me over.
Horror story: paid on time every month for 7 months. Month 8 comes around, and I get no bill. Call them, they say they changed the way they mail things and that my bill would come in. 2 weeks later no bill. Call again, same answer. Wait some more, by this time I should be making ANOTHER payment. Still nothing. Call again, and ask what was going on. Same answer...so I asked how is this going to affect me paying my bill. They say its there fault and not to worry. Long of the short, 3rd month rolled around, they sent me to collections, along with a letter explaining that if I havent recieved any bills it was there fault and they would take care of everything. After paying 3 months worth of payments all at once, I STILL got put into collections, lost 100 points on my credit score, and to this day am still fighting with them about whether or not they can remove the negative mark on my credit report. DONT USE SCHEFFIELD!! |

I've used Sheffield for years, never had a problem. Normally I put 3-4 grand on a mower, so the payment is manageable. We beat the crap out of our mowers, they don't last forever. 3-4 years we rotate em out. This business is hard

Regarding your credit issue: I recently had my credit run as I just purchased my first home. There was a $35 charge from 2007 when I was at college. I was like WTF, I always pay my bills. To make a VERY long story short, the cable company up there made a mistake on a charge and sent it to collections. I had to get the cable company to send a written letter to the collection agency stating that it was a mistake on there behalf and that the charge needed to be removed from my credit report. After many, and i mean many phone calls, it was resolved and my credit score went back to where it was supposed to be. I would try that and hopefully that works.... |

I love Sheffield! I've had them for almost 5 years straight with two different loans. I have it set up with automatic billing so I never miss a payment. I remember when a payment didn't go through one month they just doubled my monthly payment for that next month without giving me a late fee. I love the service and will continue using them for as long as I need a loan.
