Home owner guide for new lawn

When you guys install a new lawn, what kind of literature/guide do you leave with the customer if any?

Do you lay out step by step directions for them to follow?

Any examples of your leave behind would be extremely helpful.

we have a pdf we print and leave with them that gives them the guidelines of the water and fert requirements they must fallow to maintain our seed guarantee.

I do the same, I "borrowed" the info from the packet they gave my father when he built his house. I also do a 2 and a 4 week checkup and after that they are on there own.

Would you guys like to share to info you leave them?

I generally take the time to walk the lawn and give them the run down on how they need to water, when to fertilizer, when to mow etc. I have just run into a couple issues this year and I'm not sure if I am giving them bad info or they are not following.

Prob homeowner fault 90 percent of all problems with either new sod or seed is water . Once a seed expands if it dries out = dead and sod must stay moist until the roots can supply enough water to the plant to support itself or easier way until u can't pull the sod up

Keep moist but not wet. Do not let it dry out.

I have been telling people for the most part water 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. If the temp is up I try to get them to water in the middle of they day for 10 to make sure it is staying moist but not soaking it.
