John Deere HD45 Mower Blade Question?

Purchased a mint condition JD HD45 36" Walk Behind. You can no longer get gator blades just original style OR a form of gator blade called Preditor. Does anyone have any experience with Preditor blades?
Thanks

How about just anyone who's tried Preditor blades?

I used a set on a JD lawn tractor. I wasn't impressed by them for regular cutting. They are made by Sun (or Sunbelt) IIRC. Also, I believe they are the same exact blade the Scag's sells that are called Eliminator blades.

Check your blade part number against Oregon's website. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a mulcher blade made by them to fit your Deere.

I just checked which blades your machine takes on Deere site, then checked Oregon's site. They make a 3-1 high lift gator for your mower. Part number- 96-393. Your blade number for your machine from Deere's site is M122455, and it cross checks to the 96-303 number.

Hey thanks for the info. I have had the Dealer look into it and it shows it no longer is available but I'll call them anyway. The picture shows the regular center hole. The JD 36's prior to 2011 have a slotted fit with that crazy time cogged blade adjustment.
Thanks Again
Lance

I don't know which picture you saw, but the one where I got the part numbers from on their site shows that goofy center hole. It may no longer be available, but call them and ask for Dennis Wainright. He is the Oregon rep here on LS and a very helpful guy, though he can be hard to reach sometimes since he is so busy. Good luck!
