For the record i was using a 30 gallon demco with hypro pto pump & a 7 foot boom. This job was a quick hit with very little advance notice. I would have purchased a 55 gallon with a 12-14 ft boom if i had some notice up front.

I actually like a 200 gallon tank with 20 footers for big, mostly open sites like this(would have cut your time by 60-70%). When you take your ground speed, take it out over 20 feet and keep your refill stops to more of a minimum, you can really chew up the acreage quickly. However, if that's the equip you have and that's what makes sense for the rest of the work you have and you came out on the profit side for pricing this job, then that's all you can ask for!

200 gal would be overkill for us, i am going to look into something between 55 & 100. I know what you are saying, if i had your 200 for this gig i would have been out of there 50 % faster. I really like the pto pump set up, im staying with that for sure.

I think I would have called one of the local farm service(FS) stations and had them use this peice of equipment.

These machines spray field around here at about 20mph and are really quite impressive.
The job would have been done in about an hour
