Help- Is this a good deal?

i'm looking at buying a used walker mower here in toronto. i found a 2007 26hp EFI 42" deck MTGHS with less then 100 hours on it. Used for a large residence. Looks to be in great shape. Is 10 500 a good deal?

Thank you for replying. What is a fair price then? The prices in this province are much higher then the ones in the US. Shipping and dealing with customs, seems to be too expensive.

7k would be a good start for 10.5k you better off buying new. EFI is a great engine the problem its expensive to diagnose. All dough the engine has 100 hours there is no warranty.
If you going to use this mower for commercial use you should demo the 48 deck
Sorry if I made it confusing.

Thank you for replying. 7k? Really? Where can I find these deals? I prefer the 42" for wet leaves. I will use a 62" for mulching.

I think they are failing to realize you're in Canada. The 10.5 price isn't that far off really. It may sound like it's a lot but I'd bet it would sell for 8k+ in the states. For me, it's hard to believe a private individual owned it and only put 100hrs on it in 5 years. I guess it's possible if they only used it once a week for 20-30 minutes.

It has just over 90 hours on it (91 I believe). I am interested in the unit, what should I counter with? How much is a 26hp MT brand new in your area?

I personally never price shopped for a Walker. If it's very clean and has little to no wear/scuff marks then offer 9k and see if they bite.

The 2012 version similarly equipped to what you are asking about is around 13K brand new in the US. Now that price can vary depending on where and options so give or take a 1000 here or there and you are in the ballpark. Now I don't have any idea of the exchange rate in Canada so you have to do some mathe to figure out what one would cost you over the boarder.
I will say the MTGHS with a 26 EFI is an awesome machine that is proven and will deliver excellent service for many years. You basically are looking at a new machine since its a one owner, homeowner on top of it.
I would never pay what someone is asking so it helps to have some knowledge and give a lower offer from the start. Call a Canadien Walker dealer and see what a new one costs and then maybe ask him what a 2007 costs. It is definately worth looking into. As I said its like new. Good Luck
