Kubota will be discontinuing the 31hp mower so they don't have to do that. Hear talks of a stroked 26hp version to better handle a 72inch deck. Honestly the 26hp regular diesel is about like a 33hp gas in terms of torque so I'd have no issue running a 72.

The reports on the Tier 4 diesels in farm tractors have been that they get BETTER fuel economy.

I still don't want a Tier 4 diesel and I'm glad that my tractor is a Tier 3 just because I don't trust these new emissions systems to stand up to the test of time. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't want to be the guinea pig.

Gopappy, Ive heard that if it has the DEF fluid then it helps it get better than the diesels with only the dpf filter, but still none is as good as no emissions at all which is what they currently have.
