We schedule 4 days a week 10 hour days. Out of the shop at 6:30 most days.

This provides flexibility for projects/catch up/weather/holidays.
The guys are running a little short on a full 40 hours as I added a guy to the crew. Hope is to create a second crew ( 2 man crew)

We work Tuesday - Saturday 9 a.m. to usually 6-7 p.m., decided to take Mondays off this year because more and more Residential customers like for us to schedule them on Saturdays. Plus the golf courses are empty on Monday(and packed on Saturdays) so me and one of the crew leaders try to play a round then...

You own and run a full time business, Your expect employees to work full time and then some for you to survive in this business. If your bidding jobs so close to the vest and leaving money on the table at job bids you need to get into a new line of work. Quit blaming costs on employees wages, you hired them and pay them. If there is no profit margin you can also fire some of them amd spend more time on the job finishing them. All these employees expect from you is a wage to live on. Don't think of ways to screw them out of that or you will be working for someone else soon and not being a owner.
Wow! I don't know what to say that. Actually I have plenty to say but I will bite my tongue. I'm not going to try and defend my comment because I would be wasting my time. Lets just say I run my company just fine. Thanks for giving such a negative response.

On the season I have a little over 1,000 in the field. That doesn't count estimates, billing, repairs, ordering etc.
