Kit for vx4 deck

I was told they have a kit that installs on the deck that makes the discharge shoot smaller and does a better job processing the grass. The part would install where the front baffle closest to the shoot installs at? Any truth to that and if so what is it called so can order it ASAP. Also are the tires on a 2012 x-one tubeless or do they have tubes?

SSLCLCC,
Tubeless tires. Not sure what you are asking about the VX4 deck.

There is a kit the shortens the distance from the blade to the deck.
The Big Dog brand has a North and South deck, look closely at the Northern…

I trialled an early VX4 version of this and found that while it chopped the clippings finer, when the grass was thick and or lush the deck would choke.

There are several threads about the VX4 deck on the forum if you search.

Product Bulletin 490 high vacuum kit

116303 48"
116304 54"
116305 60"

MSRP's in October were between $261 to $400

Kits for 66 and 72 are available but gathered you had an x-one

Your dealer should have access on their dealer site to show you a video explaining the kit

Yes thank you guys, that is what I was trying to explain. I wish there was a way I could demo it without having to drop 272 dollars for it. I would like to see how it does in my conditions.

To be honest with you the only place I've used this kit is in the area where the warmer grass meets the cooler grass. Sometimes during the year, not always, the fescue gets really stringy and flops around with the wind flow of the deck making it hard for the blade to hit. This kit aids the vacuum and helps stand those strings up. I've never used this kit in the south. Mickhippy is downunder and I have no knowledge of his grasses.
Have you talked to our distributor down in your area? They would have better local knowledge of your issues.

Have you reached out to your distributor? They would know best on your conditions. I suggest you contact the dealer you bought the unit from and I'm sure they have the number of the rep from the area. Very tough for me to do anything being so far away. I would rather use local resources.
