Is there another way to learn hardscaping properly besides working with a hardscaping company?
"When we finally tire of searching for happiness outside, we sit quietly and analyze and realize that true and lasting happiness can never come from outside. It can't come because it simply is. You are Happiness personified. You are that Supreme Bliss. You are that Joy. You are the image of happiness. God is the one who is always happy, and you are the image of God." - Satchitananda

Read read, learn learn. But doing is by far the best way.

I read so much shyt my head was spinning before doing my first patio (at my own house).......I learned 100x more by doing then all of the reading combined.

Your house.....brave family and friends....etc are a good place to start if you're determined to learn. Also hiring aa employee with hardscaping experience.
Landscape maintenance.
16 years experience, 10 as owner/operator.

And still not rich

...and when they say "learn by doing it at your own house" doesn't mean you have to do a 1000 square-foot paver patio at 2 to 3000 bucks worth of supplies, you can practice with a 5 x 5 area and reclaimed supplies, practice your cuts etc., practice making curves. You don't have to spend a bunch of money.

2. When the client asked if the stone yard had anyone who could install it his response was any reputable company capable of handling this would be booked up at least a month out. Client needed it done right away.....

I guess you really do get what you pay for!
