Great points and very true.

I've run just about every blade setup with plate and full kit.

The best setup I've found is stock blades with plate in summer and stock or wavy mulchers with kit in winter. I leave all spacers below blade in summer and one spacer on top of blade in winter.

It is a great mower on st augustine.
