That's a good idea, I was actually trying to think of something along those lines. I'm using TeeJet air inducted nozzles, so I don't get much drift, but I'm sure some will get on the mower anyway.

The next time someone complains about your pricing, ask them how much their barber would charge to come over and cut their hair.

Herbicide should not affect the mower much, my opinion. Fertilizer is a different matter. Liquid fert is a bit corrosive, and the dry dust is a big problem, too. Worse, if the dust gets into small parts and the humidity remains high.
See Ted's discussion on internal engine parts as affected by fert dust on his ride-on.

I've seen similar rigs and thought this was a pretty common practice, even some of the dedicated ride-on sprayers have front mounted nozzles. I don't foresee spraying a lot of liquid fertilizer, just herbicides, so I may be pretty safe. I'm still planning to investigate some type of lightweight material to mount between the nozzles and the mower just to minimize exposure. I just think of how nasty looking the Prodiamine WDG residue is - that yellow wouldn't go well with the red paint

On another note, Fedex just delivered my new nozzles and fittings so tomorrow I can start working on a 3-nozzle setup.

I did basically the same thing to a Scag Vride. Mounted the boom to the rear though. FYI it is very hard on the hydro's swinging the weight in the front and grease the front wheel bearings well. My hydro's feel a little different (pulses a bit going slow). This happened after running it 2 days spraying. I've bought a z spray since but a year and a half with little use caused some issues.
