Exactly , does one want to be a mower jockey , or a businessman.Nothing wrong with either one but as you said , one does have its limits.

Florida Statute 482.1562 states that all commercial fertilizer applicators must have a license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) by January 1, 2014. To get this license, each Green Industry worker must be trained in the GI-BMPs and receive a certificate of completion from UF/IFAS and FDEP. Additionally, many non-commercial Green Industry applicators or other workers are required to pass the training by local ordinances or voluntarily participate in the program to better serve their clients."

The change was that EACH worker needed their GI-BMP. Prior to 2014 if I had my certification and I applied the Roundup to flower beds and walkways (no lawns), I was in compliance. Now, all my guys need the certification if I am applying Roundup. Of course 99.99% of those with a Roundup license are missing the boat on the money that can be made with that license.
I'm still completely confused by this. What does gi-bmp have anything to to with round up? I'll answer it, nothing. Bmp is fertilizer ONLY. And round up is pesticides, which at the very least you need the limited license for that regardless if you have a bmp or not. Also if you were certified as a pest control operator EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE would still need a "spray card" which costs money, and must have documented training ceus etc. ..........I think your confused about these laws.
