Air compressor
Looking to buy a air compressor to use for home shop. Wondering what kind you guys use at home. Been using a 10 gallon harbor freight. Thanks for any replies. Mainly want to use it for blowing stuff off engine and taking blades off. I have a ir231c impact.

I use a 60 gal. upright from Sears. Around 5 HP 240V, two stage pump. I don't remember the CFM, but its got plenty. Its about ten years old or so and still works great.
If you need any air at all, go with a two stage pump!

Mines about 13 cfm...belt driven 2 stage pump...over 5 years old...
Separate pump and motor setups are the way to go...I had a sears 6 hp integrated pump and motor setup and it lasted about as long as the warranty... It scattered and there was nothing to fix...nice tank though.... Posted via Mobile Device |
