I've been using the SRM225 for my everyday trimmer for 3 years now. It has been very reliable for me - I probably run it about 15-20 hours a week. Only issue I've had is that I did have to replace the bulb primer last month. I use only non-ethanol gas in all my small engines (oil/gas mix) - that has solved a lot of maintenance issue for me.

I have one that came as part of a package, I must say that it is my favorite trimmer to use because of its ergonomics and light weight, it is very balanced. I have not put it through its paces yet commercially as I am just starting my business, but I do have 7 acres of my own to trim and it works great. This is in comparison to my Stihl and Husqvarna trimmers. Great product for the money, as long as it holds up in the long term.

You know that sun seems hotter than it did 15-20 years ago. I have many trimmers and handhelds that are several years old with the original bulbs. Never had one go bad. Ever. Only thing I can think is the weather elements. I have ethonol in my gas. I have no choice. Posted via Mobile Device |

I use all echo handhelds. Have always used 93 octane gas w/ehthanal neutralizer and no problems yet.
