Propane Zero Turns

I'm not even considering a propane rider.... Out of curiousity, who has one? What are the pros/cons? Not sure how comfortable I'd be rocking a huge propane tank like that.

The safety aspect seems good we have three mowers with them. I buy fuel now at $1.65/gal and the outlook is good for it to remain low. Now it uses about 14% more gals per hour. We thought it would be pleasing to customers but no comments. If we get chance to bid on any city state etc etc you must have propane.

That sounds like a good reduction in operating cost.
Did you convert or buy new?
What was the premium on the equipment

Wondering how to calculate the ROI as long as Propane stays low cost. It could rocket if we start exporting LPG.

I have a ferris IS3100zp, down here in the third world gas is $5.50/gallon on the low side and often goes up to $6.00, so I got this mower since butane is; $1.90/gallon here. Even my work truck is converted to use butane I have a 25 gallon tank in the bed. It runs well, oil is cleaner when I do oil changes on it than on my gas ztr. It does burn more per hour than gas!

I worked with local dealer to install the parts for propane and my total cost was around $200. The other two we bought used and had propane on them. I think it is impossible to calculate ROI easily because the price of propane fluctuates. I have paid more for propane at one point than gas. We like the PR aspect of it.
