That's a pretty bold statement. I have only been wrong once...I thought I was wrong, but I was wrong!

How do you know what I consider a real blower? Maybe one that's 25% more powerful? I was really just teasing. I'm sure it's a good blower, especially for the price. But there are blowers that will out perform it and make even quicker work of leaves.

Yes, I know you were teasing.

I have a question for you, Is the BR600 a real blower? The Kawasaki 750 has 1 mph less wind than a BR600, and about the same CFM.

And, the KRB650B feels like it has more power than it is rated at.

There are a bunch of blowers that have the same range of power, and there are a few that have a good bit more, up to 30% more. When you're in tough conditions that can make a difference. It's like driving 85 instead of 65. Both will get you there pretty quickly, but one will get you there with time to spare.

For most people, any blower with 200+ mph air speed and cfms in the 600+ range is all they need/want. Personally, with a lot of heavily wooded 2+ acre properties and 30+ acres of my own, I wanted the biggest most powerful blower I could get. I'm a good sized guy and a backpacker, so I don't mine having a 30 pound blower (fueled) on my back if it helps me get through my cleanups and mowing route faster and all but eliminates the need for a wheel blower.

I know what you mean. Where I am, there are not as many leaves and derbies, so the Kawasaki blowers are perfect.

It depends on your personal preference when choosing one. Some people like Redmax (husky), some people like Kawasaki, some like STIHL, and some people like Shindaiwa.

I'll never fault anyone for using Shindaiwa equipment. My 9 and 11 year old EB-630 blowers will fire up in 2 pulls and be ready to work in 2 seconds. Of all the Shin equipment I've had, only 1 unit does not run and that's my fault...didn't realize I had a hole in the air filter and neglected it terribly.

Here's the post I made when it died...pics on page 2. http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.p...+filter&page=2

Neither will I. I love my little T242. Great power in a lightweight package. Also, it is reliable.
