You're right that a 1/4" can make a huge difference. That's exactly the difference in the 570 and 600 nozzle openings, and when I did the math, it was enough to make a noticable difference. the difference between the two nozzles I have for the 600 is less than a 1/4". IIRC, it was about an 1/8 or a bit less in diameter of the actual opening, but like I said, I'm gonna check. |

That's what I think I liked about the Shindaiwa, it gave a CFM and MPH listing with having the turbo tip and not having the turbo tip in place. And when you think about it, Stihl put that 1012 CFM number in it's spec when in all reality it has no bearing on the actual use of the blower. Makes me think it just helps hype and sell the blower. .....

The difference with the Shindy is that they actually offer two types of nozzle tips for their blowers. One provides higher CFM, albeit slightly lower MPH that works well for general blowing use, and the turbo tip with higher MPH, but slightly lower CFM for when you need to scour/loosen stuck down debris. I think that's an option all manu's should offer. |

What I'm trying to figure out is the difference between the turbo pipe and round pipe. Not sure if it's just the added tip that can be removed or the complete pipe being different.
Not seeing much in the way of photos of the turbo pipe on the Shindaiwa site. ....

Last fall I looked at an 802 that came with both. They were just nozzles that were several inches long that you simply removed, and changed out as needed. Several guys here have told me that their Shindy's only came with one or the other of the two tips, but the salesman at the place we were looking them over at said they came with both, and they've told me the same thing now at a couple of their other locations. Also, according to my Shindy catalog I have here, they come with both, though this catalog is a couple years old.
