Need planting ideas

I have two beds that due to some construction issues the plants have been demolished. These two beds have Cotoneaster lacteus - Parney Cotoneaster in them. They are located on either side of a nice size waterfall. They do get some water spray from the waterfall...the water is treated with chlorine. The cotoneaster does pretty well but sometimes will get burned by the chlorine. I am attaching a picture where in the background you can see the waterfall and the position of the planters...well at least one of the planters. This pic is several years old so if I need to take a better one let me know. Thanks for your help!
