We aren't working by why do they call it "labor" day if you aren't supposed to work? Shouldn't it be called "non-labor" day or "no-labor" day?

The purpose of Labor Day is to honor those who work and contribute both economically and socially to the fabric of society.

No working for me this weekend other than the usual mower maintenance (sharpen blades, clean the deck, and grease everything up) I should have everything wrapped up Friday evening. I have Monday off from my 9-5 job so we'll probably hit the rivers in the kayak. Probably try to get out on the lake too to do a little fishing in the yak. We're doing a cookout on Saturday at my fiance's sister's place.

Who knows...My fiance will probably book a tour to look a wedding venue. We're scheduled for tours every weekend for the next month and a half.

That's the reason all the check collectors in my state call everyday labor day!! They sit back while I drag my a$$ to work to pay for them!! I am working.

Tell me about it. Reminds me of Facebook statuses...."just got done taking a dump." or, "eating dinner right now."
