I bet it was thier first time at the property. They were probably hired because the home owner didn't want to get stung. I had this happen this spring. Found a tomato cage sitting upside down on the grass. Moved it, trimmed over it and saw a bunch of bees coming out. Put the cage back and made a mental note to bring my spray and powder for next time. Haven't noticed any as of last week.

If so, I seem to have even more resistance to them now. I've been stung multiple times on several different occasions since then with no ill-effect other than the initial stinging, followed by the itching as they heal. When I asked a doctor about it during a routine physical, he said that happens to a lot of people ( the building up a tolerance that is). |

Just got 11 stingers all over me last Friday. This Ladies monster weeping willow was cut down 2 months ago. Root hole was just covered over with tree mulch and dirt. Damn ground hornets took after me as I disturbed their peaceful lunch nap apparently.
10 sting sites didn't bother me at all. The 11th which was below my family jewels by about 4 inches on my inner thigh, swelled up half the size of a football. Talk about having an extra third arm down there.
