What is everyone doing to make ends meat?

Atleast in my area the grass is dead due to limited amounts of rain and the heat. I haven't mowed my grass in a month or two. What is everyone else doing to get by? Especially the little guys that count on mowing to pay the bills. I am sure clean up and mulching at the beginning of summer but, what are you doing now?

tree work, brush clearing, mulching, shrub pruning, dump runs, stump grinding, drainage work, weeding, edging, landscape designs, just generally enhancing and maintaining my customers properties....and anyone who calls i literally have done all of the above, in june and july. june was an excellent month for me (16k in sales) and my small company but i'm making small potatoes compared to most around me and even on here. july wasn't terrible, but it was a lot slower then i would have liked (9k in sales) and august should be close to july for sales if not the 4th quarter is always strong.

I've got a part time job at a hardware store that pays rent, phone bill, cable, and etc. I'm not really increasing the savings with it but it will get you by. Also I go full time in the winter months. Plowing I jump in someone else truck but its unrealiable.
