Started doing cutbacks at one of my properties.

IMO this is how bougie should be cutback each summer. If you do this, you get around 3-4 weeks until you get some decent growth and another 2 after that until you have to start maintaining again.

I also believe in cutting back confederate jasmine in this fashion.

Angie's List is really starting to pay off.

Picked up a new resi today. It's a multi acre property in which we will be doing pruning and clean-up only. It is based off of hours and will come out to $1,100+/mo. Really cool guy too.

I also got another lead from AL for a commercial property. Anyone that knows me knows I don't like commercial but it's a brand new building with brand new sod/landscaping. My bid came to $1,130/mo and tree work and fertilizer is extra. I have a really good feeling about this one. Will be really nice to land this one too.

Whew! Humid as heck today.

Interesting week. Got a call from a client I sold off a couple years ago seeing if I'd come back to do the property. Its mow only but he wants 52 cuts/yr. So for a 1/4 acre lot it comes to $173/mo. Not too bad.

Got a referral to a house with about 8-K of Empire Zoysia they want cut with a reel. I gave them a price of $850/mo with reel and $425/mo with 32" WB with bagger. Landcsape care is $130/mo. Apparently they want to hire me but are getting other bids. Not putting much stock into this one but we shall see.

Started my new resi this week. Basicall all tools are provided by the owner. I think its about 3 acres. All we do is landscape care. I'm liking this one already.

We are halfway through summer here in Florida. Got another 5 weeks of tough weather then it gets a tiny bit better by September.

A week from Monday I go to Greece for a week. I can't wait.

52cuts? Little overkill. There goes vacation time.

Well, we work every week in winter. Now, I do take off the day after xmas, thanksgiving, etc.

Normally I would agree with you but this guys lawn is the healthiest St. Aug I've ever seen. It grows very quickly. It actually needs to be verticut too...way too much thatch.

The dream lawn. If there were only more. Prices would go up. No layoffs for winter.

I hear ya. Realistically in S. FLORIDA on a warm winter 42 cuts is very normal. In a cold/cool winter you can escape with 38.
