I can not afford a splitter for now. Though I just bought a Sthil Splitting Axe/Maul.

I filled three wheel barrows in the time it took me just to fill one wheel barrow using my antique splitting wedges and sledge.

Log splitter?

What log splitter?

I don't need no stinkin' log splitter.

That leveraxe would be good for splitting soft wood without any knots. Anything tough and I dont think it would be able to hold up. Anyone doing serious splitting knows the fastest and easiest way to split a lot of wood is with a hydraulic splitter.

If a log splitter is something you are considering looking at in the near future you should check this out - http://www.logsplittersdirect.com/st...&icl=home+page
