throttle sticks

i have a Dixie chopper, and the throttle sticks if i have it at the low or the high throttle it stays rev up full RPM anyone know what the problem could be?

Clean all your throttle linkages and governor shaft with some carb.& choke cleaner then spray with some penetrating oil to re-lube and don't forget the cables, Just spray pent. oil on the outside and it will work it's way in. My guess would be some sand build up around the gov. shaft or carb. throttle shaft.

If your mower ever gets wet like on an open trailer in the rain, it wouldn't be a bad idea to spray some water displacement stuff on there like WD-40.

That will keep light rust from forming and should keep things from sticking.
