Is this worth fixing
I have a chance to get a 1999 toro z 255 that has a blown head gasket on a 26 hp Kohler motor. guy already has the gasket and head bolts. Mower itself has 1600 hours. He is asking $800. Is this mower worth me fixing up and using as a secondary everyday mower???

It sounds reasonable to me, if that's all that is wrong with it.
Was it used commercially or at a private home?

Was used as a private machine. One spindle will probably need replaced but the hydros are strong and dry. Has new tires and the machine looks to be a pretty good shape.

I found some younger machines with alot more hours on them for two and three times the price.
Spindle? Mandrell? I replaced one for around a hundred dollars or so a long long time ago. We hit a Cherry tree root.
