Wheres the Traction???

I mowed a hill today with the Lazer and it usually sticks to it like glue, but today i slid down numerous times. I didnt change tire pressure or anything. The lack of rain effecting other peoples mowing?(other than it not growing!)

I never have a problem with it being dry. A couple weeks ago it rained every day and I slid my super z into a wriprap filled ditch, thankfully I raised the deck before getting into any rocks.

Some of the slickest conditions is bluegrass that is heat stressed. It is very slick. One particular bank we can mow with our turf tracers in the spring, in the rain but we slide down every summer when its dry/stressed. Strange but true.

We have not mowed quite a few of our steep slopes because of how dry the ground is. It not only causes the mower to spin easier, but it tears up the grass/soil.

The lack of water causes the grass to become heat stressed, dormant, or in some cases, dead. With no water/moisture in the leaves, the grass has no resiliency for weight, especially for a mower sideways on a hill. You're much more likely to rut in the summer, because you'll brake the leaves off and take it down to dirt
