Grasshopper mulch kits work very well. Each kit includes baffels that easily bolt under the deck, mounting bolts and hardware, as well as a set of "low lift" mulching blades. The holes are already in the deck. I ran my Grasshoppers with mulch kits installed most of the time. I was mowing City properties, and did not want to take a chance on throwing something out of the discharge chute and hitting someone in the parks, or cars on the roadway. With a little practice, you can install, or remove the kit, in about 30 minutes.
Work Safe

I have seen blurry images of the air dam strips that Grasshopper sells for $70. It seems they could be made easily. Can anyone describe them including a closeup picture and measurements?
