Very good stuff guys. thank you (I may have to rethink our program). We like to start in mid March, but well below freezing temps can easily freeze our spray pumps. Our local TruGreen has it down pat (I think). Apply 1/2 lb of quick release granular N when there's still a little snow/ice on lawns -- then switch over to liquid N plus Barricade (this is what they're doing right now).

We don't do 7 app's like TruGreen, and our (5 app) lawns always look as nice as theirs. On the other hand -- I consider our local TruGreen a very reputable outfit. Good people (except for some salesmen) IMO.

Only question I have with TruGreen's 1st app is it's an "early spring green up" app. I always figured that was what the "winterizer" app was for???

Trugreen does not have it down pat. Most of that quick release does nothing for the lawn and I bet most of it volitizes before it gets to the grass. It is a ripoff as far as I am concerned.

Potash in your mix at a decent ratio will keep your pumps from freezing down to about 26 F

Sorry for not getting back sooner as I have been sick.

I did like the centri, and you are right, they have been regressing.

Trust me, get the spray bar attachment- I think it cost me $225.00. You won't regret it. Spend a few dollars more and get the spray wand attachment as well. Can't tell you how much time that has saved me from not having to walk so I can hit all the tight areas with weed control. Knocked my backpacking down "Considerably".
