They generally use the softess riding tires on new cars so that the car/truck has a great ride. If they actually put truck tires on trucks people would complain at how poor the ride quality is. Instead they complain at how soon the p metrics wear out on their 5-6k vehicle.

I put Transforce HT's on my 2wd F250 this spring and have been very happy with them. They seem to be wearing good, and even do good in mud considering they're a highway tread tire. Just put Hankook Dynapros on my pickup, but nothing about them was cheap, and they're very aggressive lol.

I have about 35k on my transforce tires and will easiley get another 10k out of them. This is on a 93 dodge w-250 diesel. I have been happy with them.
