ive been around 4 right now i usually start my lawns around 3 and bump it up as we get farther into summer

It usually depends on the height of what I am cutting, but.....
A scrub yard (mostly weeds) 2.5"-3.0" Bermuda 3.5" Zoysia 4.0" Make sure you measure your blade height. Many mowers height settings are a tad shorter or higher than their scale shows...its usually shorter though. I bet many in this thread think they are cutting at a certain height, but actually are not. |

For me it depends on the season and the weather in the spring with all the rain I'll go 2.5 to about 3.25 when it starts drying up in the summer 3.25 to 4. If I know its going to rain that day later i will stay with 2.5 to 3 on bi-weekly cuts usually 3.5 to 3.75 seems that it doesn't grow as fast.

I totally agree. I know exactly what height I'm cutting at and it's not what the scale says. It will change as the mower wears over the years.
