Hey guys,
Someone just gave me one of these back pack blowers. I have talked to a couple people and they said that they had problems with the timing belts slipping? and the pistion hitting the valves? I have googled the crap out of this and have only found a recall on the impeller. I know there is a TSB about adjusting the valves but that's it. Does anyone own one of these and had any problems with the timing belt?

I had the impeller explode and shoot pieces out the side of the housing. Good thing no one was around me. Shindy replaced it with a new 802.

Ouch! No other problems with the timing belt letting go, and the piston hitting the valves though?

Right before the impellor went, it started running like $hit. I brought to the dealer, they fixed something??? A week later the impellor went.

I've had one for several years--no problems. Replaced impeller. Mostly use in fall for leaf cleanup--but no problems.
