I like the dual axle better because it rides better over the road with less bouncing and wear on the equipment--that 14' can do some dancing
I couldn't agree more. A dual axle follows a truck much better but the down side is the tire scrubbing on tight turns.

Dual axle is the way to go. I switched to double axle and I dont regret it. The ride is much smoother which is better for all my equipment. I also find that the double axle is much easier to back up. I bought a 82" (they call it a 7')x14' 7000lb gvw. If I was in your shoes I would get either a 7x14 or 16. Having extra room to just walk around or to fit something small like 21" or an aerator is nice.

Kenwin,

Here's my 2 cents. I had a 7x14. Width was 102" on the outside of the tires. It scrubbed tires constantly. This combined with my crew cab equaled 38 feet.

My new trailer is a 6x12. It has a side gate, a dovetail(no more dragging across the expanded metal grating), 3500 lb axle, and trailer brakes installed. I mow with a 36 and a 60 turf tracers but my 60 fits on there with my new 61" Gravely walk behind. It also fits on my driveway and not partially in the grass. I also got oak flooring for $150 more.

I just picked up a 7X16 dual axel with a ramp and wood floors at a pawn shop for under 1000 bucks and its only 2 years old.He was originally asking 1100 got it for 950. Shop around man, Craigslist and pawn shops are a great way to find a trailer. I figured for a price like that I have all the room I need to pull ZTR's, walk behinds, plants, or just moving furniture. Best of luck to ya!!

ive had great luck with singles, usually get ones with radial tires instead of bias, and some lighting upgrades, carry a spare tire and jack and go cut some grass!
